WWE and Tajiri have reached an agreement on his release. Monday Night RAW in Boston on Dec. 12, 2005, will be Tajiris final appearance. Tajiri has decided to go back to his native Japan to work on writing a book. In addition, Tajiri plans to write news columns upon his return. WWE wishes Tajiri the best in all his future endeavors.

Over the weekend, I caught up with some old college friends, and we were remembering some of the stupid fun stuff we did, a lot of which involved going to wrestling shows. Hey, I went to college in Philly, home of ECW and a bunch of other small promotions. Saturday Nights Main Event is returning to NBC this March after a 13-year hiatus. In the mid-1980s through early 1990s, WWE fans would scour the television listings each month making sure they didnt miss the highly anticipated special that replaced network staple Saturday Night Live on occasion. When Jon Lovitz, Dennis Miller and Dana Carvey werent performing comedy sketches, WWE Superstars were squaring off in matches that often took on a pay-per-view feel.

When one hopeful was removed from the competition, Elisabeth was added at the last second. Flash forward to the final hours of the 2005 Diva Search. Elisabeth is one of only three Divas remaining, but she hears Jonathan Coachman announce her elimination. Kristal made it to the final four of the 2005 RAW Diva Search Contest, but after she was eliminated, most of her fans thought it might be the last they would see from the former Price is Right Barkers Beauty. But Kristal was able to stand out during the competition and showed perseverance, forcing WWE executives were forced to take notice. Kristal signed a WWE contract and will be heading to Deep South Wrestling in Georgia to train to hopefully one day become an official WWE Diva.

Dusty Rhodes has officially joined WWE. When reached at home on Thursday, Rhodes confirmed that he signed a WWE contract of undisclosed length. When asked what was covered in the deal, Rhodes said, One word: creative.
